Brandywine Overlook
Built in 1950 this National Register of Historic Places home boasts one of the best views in Delaware. Our clients desired a larger more functional kitchen for the growing family’s needs (hint: Cookie making with Grandma!) Owners Eric and Rachel Starrett delivered a presentation of the proposed design to the Historical Board to pass the changes being made. Poring through the original architect’s intent allowed us to remodel the space for the family’s current needs while honoring and respecting the original intent of the home. Noteworthy details: Custom zinc and brass vintage-inspired hood, custom mahogany ceiling, rift cut white oak Plain & Fancy USA made slab cabinets, oversized island, original stone walls left untouched and incorporated into the remodel, Wolf & Sub-Zero appliances.
